As long as I can remember, I have always seen all the glasses in the world as half full. I always see the light in the dark and find the good in the bad. It may be pouring rain, but after the clouds clear, there will be a rainbow. Eternal optimism is my signature.
This optimism is something I have been thinking of frequently lately. It fuels almost every avenue of my life and my thinking, and for obvious reasons, this has a positive effect on me. Sometimes, life can throw you a few curveballs (which if these were not metaphorical curveballs, I would not be able to catch them), but this optimistic streak helps me adapt to anything. While adapting to my most recent curveball, I have been focusing on my optimistic streak lately, which has proved to be very inspiring. Like life, here is a work in progress: Optimistism.
I have been thinking about what optimism really means while working on this new collection. The infectious positive energy is so powerful. It can overcome anything, like a flower blooming though the snow or an explosion of color against a dull world. My goal and source of inspiration for this is to capture that positive energy and show pure joy. Using bright and cheerful colors, playful silhouettes and excuberant beading details, I will let this shine through.
Stay tuned for more developments with this new project. While overcoming obstacles, this project will very much remind me to stay true to my happy tendencies. And, I hope, to you dear readers, it will serve as a reminder to always be optimistic. Even when things may seem too bad, there is always something good to find, whether it be a half full coffee or brightly colored flowers being sold on the gray New York City streets.
Stay positive and keep reading!
