New Englanders are impervious to any kind of weather and we know all to well, that one sunny and 65 degree day in March does not mean it's any closer to spring. As in this case, when my sister came home for her Spring Break, in the middle of March, it was snowing! Being the wonderful sister that she is, she let me dress her up in one of my designs, a bridal jumpsuit from Le Jardin and take pictures of her in the snow.
Following the feeling of Le Jardin, the Eyre Jumpsuit brings a fresh take on Bridal. There are plenty of delicate lace details on the sleeves, neckline and waist to create a feminine and romantic look. A theme of Le Jardin was to give brides gowns that had all the dreamy bridal elements, but with a new twist, such as color or print, or in this case, pants. The wide leg pants give it an edge, yet still the full feeling of gown in an elegant, yet still casual way. The casual feeling is also translated into the styling of the look. A perfectly undone ponytail tied with trim matching the sleeve details, light makeup and simple floral necklace, a bride can achieve a laid back and vintage inspired look.
Along with design and illustration, I also have an interest in photography, so I am always excited when I get the chance to blend my creative interests. Earlier in the day, it had been snowing and was very gray, but once we stepped outside, the sun was just peaking out as it was setting, creating some wonderful light. It worked perfectly with the look of the Eyre Jumpsuit and made my sister look even more beautiful.
